Riding the Bomb: September 2018

As I contemplated starting my chemo regimen, which began with one dose of a drug so powerful that it can only be taken once every six weeks (Lomustine), I channeled my apocalyptic fear of voluntarily swallowing this drug into a spoof of old-school movie trailers, the “Doctor Strangelove” film promo, and its most famous scene of Major “Kong” riding a nuclear bomb from the plane down to the test site. I posted these panels with the following caption:
